Learn to Run participants graduate after a 10 week clinic

Health Initiative for Men and Vancouver Frontrunners have been working together over the last 10 weeks in helping eager participants in learning to run. Today marks the end of that clinic and we’re thrilled to see our new runners graduate.

Learn To Run graduates receive a free technical t-shirt, certificates, complimentary VFR membership and very yummy rainbow cookies.

Congratulations to all who participated. We hope to see you join us for more runs, and hopefully see you at the upcoming Pride Run & Walk.

VFR are pleased announce the colours for this year’s Pride Run & Walk technical t-shirts…

After receiving a huge response from many of our fans on our Facebook poll, VFR are happy to announce that this year’s Pride Run & Walk t-shirts will come in both Pink and Orange.

The shirts will be available in a range of sizes and will be branded with the creative graphic you see below (ignore the red background).

While it is unfortunate, our supplier is only able to provide the pink shirt in a women’s style cut, and the orange in a men’s. While some of us will still opt to purchase either colour, regardless of how we identify in gender, we ask that you keep this in mind as a medium shirt in one colour won’t fit the same way as it would in the other.

Technical t-shirts can be purchased during registration for only $15 and they’re a great to show off your accomplishment and support of Pride Run & Walk.

VFR Rocks the Vancouver BMO Marathon with stellar results

Once again Vancouver Frontrunners absolutely rocked the BMO race event yesterday and the results are phenomenal.

VFR recorded perhaps the highest turnout for any running event yesterday with a total of 38 registered participants!  Congratulations to all of you who made it out to run and finish their respective events.
Kudos to Kai S who set a new PB with an astounding sub 1:30 half marathon performance, Kangsoon P who joined the ranks with his Boston Qualifier, Clare H with her top 10 8K performance in her category, and Rohan H who trained and ran a perfect marathon meeting his goal time with seconds to spare.

The Marathon Relay event was a smashing success for VFR with 5 teams entering as recreational, 3 of which placed top 10 overall!

Honourable mentions go to Nicholas S who tore the anchor leg with a blistering 3:48/km performance, Xavier T, Jeff C, & Andrew H who far exceeded expected times in their respective legs, & Gerry T who conquered Camosen hill to come in his exchange point ahead of schedule!  Well done everyone!
