LACE UP. BE PROUD. LET’S GO!
July 2020 ★ Wherever You Are ★ Whenever You Want
We can’t see you in person this summer, and we’ll miss you! As an alternative, we are planning a virtual Pride Run & Walk – a run when you want, where you want – approach, open to all LGBTQ2S+ and their friends and allies no matter where they live.
2020 is our 16th Vancouver Pride Run & Walk, the first official event of the Vancouver Pride festivities. Hosted by Vancouver Frontrunners, we provide a safe and friendly environment for the LGBTQ2+ community and their friends to enjoy running and walking. A record number of Pride runners & walkers came out in 2019 – all of us at Vancouver Frontrunners are excited to see how many of you will get out for our community in 2020! We may be running separately, but we’re not all alone!
5K run or walk or the 10K run or walk registration is only $30/person with proceeds to our much-loved beneficiaries. New for this year, you can fundraise for our charities without participating in the run/walk. Find out all the deadlines and details on our registration page.
Share the love!
What is Pride Run & Walk?
Pride Run & Walk is an annual event hosted by Vancouver Frontrunners, an all-volunteer, LGBTQ2+ running and walking club. VFR provides a safe and friendly environment for the LGBTQ2+ community and their friends to enjoy running and walking and other social activities.
Pride Run & Walk was born of a desire to give back to our community. Our fundraising objective is to raise funds for our community beneficiaries, Out in Schools and the LOUD Foundation’s Pride Youth Scholarship Fund.
We join forces with the Vancouver Pride Society to deliver more fun while streamlining costs and efforts, allowing us to donate even more money to these great causes.
Our other goal is to provide a vibrant and welcoming event for everyone attending to have fun! In most years, the Pride Society’s Picnic in the Park immediately follows Pride Run & Walk, bringing together members of the LGBTQ2+ community and their allies together for a fun, active, and inclusive day of celebration at Second Beach. This year Pride Society has all kinds of different celebrations planned to celebrate Vancouver Pride.
If you’ve never been to a Pride Run before, browsing through our collection of photos will give you an idea of just how bright and colourful our big day is – and will be again! Should you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
